UPDATE: RAF Fairford US Bomber Fleet 25/07/2026 #IranWar
As it has been much requested over the last week, here's the current list of US Air Force B-1B "Lancer" bombers stationed at RAF Fairford (EGVA). Some of these have already flown earlier this week on combat sorties to CENTCOM. Unlike at the start of the ceasefire, there are now no B-52H "Stratofortress" aircraft at the base - these all returned to CONUS along with rotating some of the original B-1Bs over May/June.

Back in March 2026, there was a fatal mid-air collision between two US Air Force KC-135R "Stratotanker" aircraft over the Iraq border, resulting in the loss of 60-0347 "ZEUS70".
The other airframe involved was this - 63-8017 which had arrived in theatre as "RCH169" - since making the emergency landing at Tel Aviv Ben Gurion (LLBG) with part of the tail missing, it has not been detected flying since.
Just now, it started pinging on the ground at LLBG with a new callsign "RCH564", suggesting it may now have been repaired and may be heading back to CONUS shortly!

After the initial delay a few days ago where she returned to Tinker AFB (KTIK), E-3G "SHUCK84" 78-0577 #AE11E5 is now en-route to Ramstein Airbase (ETAR) in Germany to swap with E-3G "SHUCK85" 75-0556 #AE11D6 which left Prince Sultan Airbase (OEPS) in Saudi Arabia on 5th August 2026.

Tanker numbers at the bases shown have remained at the same level as a few days ago, although with the NATO air activity around the Baltic and Kaliningrad in the last few days, several tankers have operated from different bases on different days.
As of a short while ago, the 2 forward-deployed to Bezmer (LBIA) in Bulgaria have returned home to RAF Mildenhall (EGUN) leaving that base empty, and a single tanker believed to be heading out of the region remains at Stuttgart Airport (EDDS).
A number of tankers in CENTCOM are also operating from multiple bases, often flying between Tel Aviv (LLBG), Ovda (LLOV), Al-Udeid (OTBH) and sometimes Al-Dhafra (OMAM) presumably as the mission requires it - I suspect some of these are cargo flights too due to the immense pressure the C-17 fleet has been under.

Rather unusually this morning we have a USAF E-11A "BACN" tracking into Iraqi airspace from the base at Prince Sultan Airbase (OEPS) in Saudi Arabia. Although I don't know what call-sign it is using today, it's not uncommon for them to use "BACN" or "BLACKWOLF" call-signs.

The purpose of their short visit to Ramstein remains unclear.
