The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has issued notices to Meta and the police chiefs of Punjab, Delhi, Telangana, Maharashtra, Odisha, West Bengal, Haryana, and Bihar over Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) on Instagram. From January 1, 2027, recovery calls and visits will generally be allowed only from 8 am to 7 pm, unless the borrower specifically allows another time.
