🔵. Securing pole position here at Suzuka feels incredibly rewarding, especially after all the challenges we’ve had with the car recently. That final lap in Q3 was absolutely flat-out—one of those moments where everything just clicks. I honestly didn’t expect it to be enough, but when I crossed the line and saw the time, it was a great surprise. The margins were insanely tight with Lando and Oscar right behind me. We've worked so hard to improve the balance all weekend, and this result really shows that effort. Suzuka is such a thrilling track to drive, and getting pole here is always special. Of course, we know the race could be tricky with tyre wear and possible weather changes, but I’m feeling confident and ready to give it everything tomorrow.

🔵. What a feeling to finally take the first win of the season — and to do it here in Suzuka makes it even more special. The race was definitely intense from start to finish. Starting from pole gave us the edge, but with the McLarens pushing hard behind, I had to stay fully focused. Especially in the last stint, I knew they were closing in, so there was no room for mistakes. The car felt good overall, and the team executed everything perfectly. It's always great to be back on the top step, especially after how the season started.

But more than just a win, this one carries a lot of emotion. It’s our final home race with Honda, and to give them this victory on Japanese soil — it just feels right. We've had such an incredible journey together, and I’m proud of everything we’ve accomplished as a team. Thanks to everyone who stood behind us through the highs and lows. We’re only getting started.
