The CBI on Monday said that Karnataka Congress chief DK Shivakumar allegedly amassed disproportionate assets worth over ₹74 crore when he served as a minister in the state government. This comes after the agency raided over 15 premises linked to him and his brother and MP DK Suresh in the alleged corruption case.

10% of world's population may have been infected by COVID-19: WHO

Mental health services disrupted in 121 countries amid pandemic: WHO

The coronavirus pandemic has disrupted mental health services in around 121 of the 130 countries surveyed by the World Health Organization (WHO). "We think that this is a forgotten aspect of COVID-19," a WHO official said. "We estimate...that there may be an increase in people with mental, neurological and substance abuse-related conditions that will need attention," she added.

₹20,000 cr compensation cess collected to be disbursed to states tonight: FM

No monthly returns by taxpayers with less than ₹5 cr annual turnover: Finance Secy

From January 1, 2021, the taxpayers whose annual turnover is less than ₹5 crore will not be required to file monthly returns (GSTR 3B and GSTR1), Finance Secretary Ajay Bhushan Pandey said after the 42nd GST Council meeting. "They will only file quarterly returns," he added. "This will be a major relief to small taxpayers," Bhushan said.

NVIDIA making AI-based 'supercomputer' for UK COVID-19 research

US-based chipmaker NVIDIA is building UK's "most powerful supercomputer" which will use artificial intelligence to help researchers solve challenges related to COVID-19. The 'Cambridge-1' computer will be an NVIDIA DGX SuperPOD system capable of delivering more than 400 petaflops of AI performance. This will rank it 29th on the Top 500 list of the world's most powerful supercomputers, NVIDIA said.
