Delhi's Bangla Sahib to open diagnostic centre offering MRI scan at ₹50

Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) has said that country's "cheapest" diagnostic facility will start functioning at Gurdwara Bangla Sahib in December 2020. An MRI scan for the needy will cost ₹50 at this facility while for others it will cost ₹800. A committee of doctors has been set up to decide who needs a concession, DSGMC president said.

Vodafone lenders approve Indus Towers and Bharti Infratel merger

UK-based Vodafone Group on Monday said it has received approval for the merger of Indus Towers and Bharti Infratel from its lenders. The agreement to proceed was conditional on consent for a security package worth €1.3 billion used to fund Vodafone's contribution to the Vodafone Idea rights issue in 2019 which has now been received, the company said.

Alibaba to buy up to 10% stake in Swiss retailer Dufry

China's Alibaba has agreed to buy as much as a 9.99% stake in Switzerland-based duty-free retailer Dufry AG. Dufry is proposing a capital increase that will raise up to $763 million and Alibaba will be participating in the funding. Advent International plans to invest up to $452 million too. Dufry will also form a joint venture with Alibaba in China.

Noida-based agritech startup Unnati on Monday raised $1.7 million in a Pre-Series A funding round from Nabventures Fund, NABARD's agriculture-focused venture fund. Angel investor Sumeet Seraf also participated in the round and acted as an advisor on the transaction. The tech-enabled startup provides farmers access to essential inputs and helps them get better prices for their produce in market.

50-year-old man held with elephant tusk, deer horns in B'luru

A 50-year-old man was arrested in Bengaluru for allegedly possessing five deer horns, an elephant tusk, and a country-made rifle, police said. Mallesh was caught red-handed trying to sell these trophies to the public near the Banashankari bus stand. He had killed three deers for their horns and skin three months ago using his gun in Kanakapura forest area.

Driver throws his bumper at rival travelling at top speed during kart race, video viral

Cement block from 3rd floor of Tirupati hospital falls on employee

Burial site from 6th century possibly of 'Marlow Warlord' found in UK

Archaeologists have unearthed the skeleton of what could be an Anglo-Saxon warrior, the Marlow Warlord, in the UK. The six-foot-tall warrior had well-developed muscles, analysis of the skeleton revealed. It is believed the burial site dates from the sixth century.
