Idli-sambar to be soon served in Delhi govt schools, new 6-day menu released

Idli-sambar will soon be served in all government and government-aided schools in Delhi under the PM-POSHAN scheme. Students will get poori-black chana gravy and mashed vegetables on day one, idli-sambar on day two, chhole-rice and mashed vegetables on day three and chhole-poori and mashed vegetables on day four. Dal-rice will be served on day five and kadhi-rice on day six.

'Ex-Pakistan PM Imran Khan is dead as per 3 military officials,' says Pak journalist

Pakistani journalist Wajahat Saeed Khan, who is based in US, has said that three senior military officials told him that "former PM Imran Khan is dead". "They (military officials) haven't seen anything with their own eyes, but they have heard things with their ears," Wajahat added. Khan has been imprisoned since August 5, 2023 and is lodged in Adiala Jail.

Govt redefines Ganga floodplain, drops ‘no construction’ provision

The Centre government has redefined the "active floodplain" of the Ganga River and its tributaries as areas that experience flooding at least once every five years. The amendment in the 2016 order also removes the "construction-free zone" provision and adds that the river's banks be maintained to reduce pollution. The earlier order prohibited construction of any structures in the floodplain.

Security researchers have discovered a flaw in Zoom that could let an attacker take complete control of another user's device during a live call. It took fewer than 20 AI prompts on publicly available AI models for researchers to find the flaw and build a working exploit in under 24 hours. The flaw exploits Zoom's screen-sharing feature.

CISF personnel at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport detected a skull concealed in a Hyderabad-bound passenger's hand baggage during a pre-boarding security check on Wednesday. After LIC, govt to sell stake in 4 more PSUs in FY27: Report

The government is likely to launch fresh offer-for-sale (OFS) transactions in four public sector undertakings this fiscal, Moneycontrol reported. It will sell around a 1.5% stake in Hindustan Zinc and roughly 5% stakes each in Hindustan Copper, Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders (MDL) and IRCTC. The development follows the government’s OFS in LIC earlier this month, which raised ₹31,552 crore.

Drugs worth ₹9.4 crore seized in Mumbai & Greater Noida, 3 foreigners arrested

A total of 2.05 kg of methamphetamine worth ₹4 crore was seized in Mumbai's Bandra (East), while 2.68 kg of 'methamphetamine' worth ₹5.4 crore was seized in Greater Noida.
