BIMSTEC (Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation) is a regional organisation established in 1997. It has seven members: India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Nepal, Bhutan and Myanmar.
