2 Kolkata Police DCPs suspended over old remarks against CM Suvendu

Two Deputy Commissioners of Police have been suspended for allegedly making objectionable remarks against West Bengal CM Suvendu Adhikari in 2025. One of the suspended officers had allegedly made the objectionable remarks, while the other officer had supported them, an official said. This comes after Kolkata Police Commissioner advised officers to remain cautious while posting on social media.

Indian Navy commissions INS Mahendragiri

The Indian Navy has commissioned INS Mahendragiri (F38), the sixth Project 17A indigenous stealth frigate. The commissioning ceremony was presided over by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh at the Visakhapatnam Naval Dockyard in Andhra Pradesh. Rajnath said INS Mahendragiri can deal simultaneously with threats from air, sea, and beneath and can be equipped with BrahMos surface-to-surface missile.

PWD worker dies as dome of temple falls on street during demolition in UP

Bank deposits jump β‚Ή7 lakh crore in a fortnight: Study

West Bengal forms 9-member panel to examine draft UCC Bill
