Minor boy who was forcibly converted in J&K rescued & brought back to UP

A minor boy from Uttar Pradesh’s Bijnor, who was allegedly taken to Jammu and Kashmir and forcibly converted to Islam, has been rescued and brought back home. The boy was traced in Kashmir after his family lodged a complaint alleging that he had been lured away on the pretext of a job and later pressured into changing his religion.

J&K govt renames school after Pahalgam terror attack victim

The Jammu and Kashmir government has renamed a school in Pahalgam after Adil Hussain Shah, who was killed while confronting terrorists during the Pahalgam attack on April 22, 2025. The school will now be called as Shaheed Adil Hussain Shah Memorial High School. Pakistani terrorists killed 25 tourists and local resident Adil Hussain Shah, who had confronted the attackers.

16 people arrested after stone pelting during demolition drive in Mumbai

Police have arrested a total of 16 people after stone pelting occurred during a court-ordered demolition drive carried out by Western Railway in the Bandra Garib Nagar area. A case has been registered against 100 to 150 people in this matter, police said. At least 10 police personnel were injured in the stone pelting during the anti-encroachment drive.

UP govt hikes DA for employees and pensioners from 58% to 60%
