Maharashtra records 226 heatstroke cases since March 2026: Report

Maharashtra has recorded 226 heatstroke cases and at least two heatstroke-related deaths since March 2026, an Indian Express report said. At 41, Aurangabad reported the highest number of heatstroke cases followed by Nandurbar (24), Nashik (19), Buldhana (17). Doctors in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai said they are witnessing a sharp rise in dehydration, exhaustion, fainting and heat-related complications.

24-yr-old becomes Delhi's 1st heatstroke patient, had 105°F fever & confusion

A 24-year-old man from West Bengal was admitted to the emergency department at Delhi’s RML on Thursday after he suffered a severe heat stroke while travelling to the national capital by train. Doctors said the man was brought to the hospital with a very high fever of 105°F, confusion, and loss of consciousness. Doctors have initiated emergency immersion cooling treatment.
