HC orders Shiv Cement to pay ₹66 lakh as UltraTech wins trademark case

The Bombay High Court granted a permanent injunction in favour of UltraTech Cement, restraining local trader Shiv Cement from using similar trademarks like 'UltraPlus' and 'UltraHiTouch'. In the decade-old case, the Aditya Birla Group firm had alleged trademark infringement and passing off. Mittal family, Adar Poonawalla buy Rajasthan Royals for ₹15,660 crore

A consortium of Lakshmi Niwas Mittal, Aditya Mittal and Adar Poonawalla has acquired Rajasthan Royals for approximately $1.65 billion (around ₹15,660 crore). The deal comes after the earlier sale to a Kal Somani-led US-based consortium fell through amid funding shortfalls and regulatory hurdles. The Mittal family will now own around 75% of the franchise, while Poonawalla will hold about 18%.

Odisha state dairy cooperative hikes milk prices by ₹4 per litre
