Israel approves deal to buy F-35 and F-15IA fighter jets from US

Israel has given the final approval for a deal worth tens of billions of dollars to purchase two new ‌combat squadrons of F-35 and F-15IA advanced fighter aircraft from the US. Under the deal, ​Israel would buy a fourth F-35 squadron from Lockheed Martin and a second squadron of F-15IA fighter ​jets from Boeing. This comes amid the Iran war.

AI can spot pancreatic cancer years before diagnosis: Study

Mayo Clinic's AI model REDMOD can detect pancreatic cancer on routine CT scans up to three years before a clinical diagnosis, a study in journal Gut has found. Analysing nearly 2,000 CT scans originally read as normal, REDMOD identified 73% of pre-diagnostic cancers at a median of 16 months before diagnosis, which is nearly double the rate of specialist radiologists.

Mobile money transactions globally crossed the $2 trillion mark in 2025, according to the GSMA's State of the Industry Report on Mobile Money 2026. Elephant at Kerala temple goes on rampage, video shows it flipping car, killing 1

A captive elephant brought to a temple in Kerala turned violent on Friday, attacking and injuring a couple of persons, with one of them dying in the incident, police said.
