Diljit Dosanjh, during his appearance on 'The Tonight Show', spoke about his concert in Vancouver, which was attended by 55,000 people. He recalled that in 1914, 376 passengers, mostly Sikhs, along with Muslims and Hindus, were denied entry to Canada, adding, "And now...here we are, man." The passengers were later declared political agitators by British authorities upon returning to India.

Delhi Police claims it shut eatery at 2 am due to 'congestion', owner says 'Had just 3 orders'

Delhi Police issued a clarification after Delhi-based restaurant owner Gagandeep Sapra claimed police personnel misbehaved with his staff and shut his cloud kitchen at 2 am on Monday. Police said the action was taken due to "heavy congestion" and "excessive movement". "No dine-in, no walk-ins. Only delivery riders...We had three active orders. Where...is this 'heavy congestion'?" 21-yr-old man pleads guilty to plotting ISIS-linked terror attack on Taylor Swift concert

A 21-year-old Austrian man accused of supporting the Islamic State group and plotting an attack at a Taylor Swift concert in Vienna in 2024 has pleaded guilty as his trial began. The plot was thwarted, but authorities still had to cancel three performances by the superstar in August 2024. He could be sentenced to up to 20 years in prison.

Bengal records 40% voter turnout till 11 am in phase 2 polling

West Bengal saw 39.97% voter turnout till 11 am on Wednesday in the second phase of voting. Hooghly, Howrah and Nadia witnessed 43.12%, 39.45% and 40.34% voting while Kolkata North and North 24 Parganas saw 38.39% and 38.43% turnout. This phase covers 142 of the total 294 seats in the state and the electorate stands at approximately 3.21 crore.

Certain items are not allowed inside a polling station while going to vote, including mobile phones, photographic equipment and recording devices, so that the secrecy of voting is maintained. One cannot wear any dress or attire bearing political party symbols or bring posters and banners, an ABP News report said. Carrying any weapon or sharp object is also prohibited.

14-year-old boy, cousin killed in Delhi hit-and-run mid-call with father after RCB-DC IPL match

Two cousins, 14-year-old Abhav Bhatia and 20-year-old Yagya Bhatia, were killed in a hit-and-run in Delhi on Monday after watching DC-RCB IPL match.
