Worker at Taj Mahal dismissed for making reel from restricted minaret area

A contract sanitation worker at the Taj Mahal was dismissed by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) after he filmed a reel from one minaret. Officials said all four minarets of Taj Mahal are strictly off-limits to visitors due to security reasons. The worker allegedly accessed the area without authorisation and filmed the video "out of excitement," the ASI added.

2,500 CAPF companies deployed in WB for phase 2 polls, Kolkata gets highest deployment

About 2,500 companies of Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) have been deployed across West Bengal as the second phase of voting for the state Assembly elections is underway. Kolkata has the highest deployment at 274 companies, followed by Purba Bardhaman (263) and Hooghly (236).
