Why is Aadhaar not accepted as proof of date of birth in India?

An Aadhaar card is valid proof of identity, but not a standalone proof of date of birth, as the Aadhaar Act, 2016, is "silent" on this aspect, UIDAI clarified. UIDAI's role is limited to issuing identity numbers and enabling authentication, not maintaining primary birth records, News18 stated. Therefore, Aadhaar can't replace documents like birth certificates and SLC for verifying DoB.

International researchers have found DNA of food, including carrots, bread wheat, peanuts, tomatoes and maize, on Shroud of Turin, burial cloth believed to have wrapped Jesus Christ. They analysed samples collected in 1978 and concluded the cloth had been heavily contaminated over centuries.
