Over 240 CCTV cameras sabotaged at Chinnaswamy Stadium amid IPL, 2 arrested

Two subcontractor employees have been arrested for allegedly sabotaging over 240 CCTV cameras at M Chinnaswamy Stadium ahead of the RCB-GT IPL 2026 match. The duo used a deactivated access card to enter server room and damaged NVR units and optical fibre cables. They allegedly acted over ₹10 lakh in unpaid dues from employer IVS Digital Solutions.

China's National Development and Reform Commission blocked US tech giant Meta's purchase of Chinese AI startup Manus on ​Monday, ordering the cancellation of the over $2 billion deal. Family of 4 dies in Mumbai after consuming watermelon, fruit sent for forensic analysis

A family of four, including parents and their two minor daughters, died at Mumbai's JJ Hospital after consuming watermelon at around 1 am. They had hosted guests earlier, who left after having dinner at 10.30 pm and showed no symptoms. The watermelon, not dinner, may have caused the suspected poisoning, police said. The watermelon has been sent for forensic analysis.

The government has said that a Togo-flagged chemical tanker, which had Indian crew members on board, was attacked by Iran on April 25. "The vessel was sailing along with other ships when it was intercepted by the Iranian Coast Guard, which fired warning shots," Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways said. 22 Buddhist monks detained in Sri Lanka for smuggling 110 kg drugs

A total of 22 Buddhist monks were detained at a Sri Lankan airport for smuggling 110 kg of drugs (cannabis) while returning after a four-day holiday in Thailand by hiding them inside their luggage. India-New Zealand free trade deal could allow New Zealand to absorb 12% or nearly $7.3 billion worth of India's gulf exports if the disruption at the Strait of Hormuz continues, Moneycontrol reported.
