West Bengal records 89.9% voter turnout, Tamil Nadu sees 82.24% till 5 pm

A voter turnout of 89.93% was recorded in West Bengal Phase 1 polls till 5 pm. Tamil Nadu also saw strong participation with 82.24% turnout. However, violence was reported in Bengal, where a crude bomb was hurled in Murshidabad.
