1,589 illegal Bangladeshi migrants deported from Delhi in last 9 months

Delhi Police traced and deported 1,589 illegal Bangladeshi migrants between June 2025 and February this year, the Indian Express reported. This marks a sharp increase from the earlier crackdown between November 2024 and May 2025, when 720 illegal Bangladeshi migrants were deported from the national capital. The crackdown was intensified following the Pahalgam terror attack last year.

Kotak Mahindra to buy Deutsche's India retail business for ₹4,500 crore: ET

Kotak Mahindra Bank has emerged as the preferred buyer for the Indian retail arm of Germany's Deutsche Bank in a deal worth around ₹4,500 crore, The Economic Times reported. The agreement, which covers a retail portfolio of nearly ₹27,000 crore, could reportedly be announced next week. Kotak Mahindra Bank surpassed Federal Bank in the bidding process.

No ads without approval to be released on TV in poll-bound states: EC

The Election Commission has directed all political parties in poll-bound states that no political advertisement can be released on electronic media, including television, and internet-based platforms, without "pre-certification" from the Media Certification and Monitoring Committee (MCMC). New York airport shut after plane hits fire truck on runway

New York’s LaGuardia airport was shut after an Air Canada plane collided with a fire truck on the runway on Monday. The aircraft carrying 100 passengers struck the vehicle at a speed of around 39 kmph, according to FlightRadar24. A picture circulating online showed the plane tilted on its tail with the nose of the aircraft ripped off.

Pilot and co-pilot killed in Air Canada plane collision at New York airport

The pilot and co-pilot of the Air Canada Express aircraft died after it crashed into a fire truck at New York's LaGuardia Airport, reported NBC. The pilot and co-pilot were left badly injured while a sergeant and an officer on the fire truck also suffered broken limbs. 'Dhurandhar 2' becomes biggest opening weekend grosser in Hindi

Pahalgam hotel hides info about stay of 23 foreigners, FIR filed

An FIR has been registered against Hotel Misty Mountains in the Laddi area of Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam for concealing the stay of 23 foreign nationals, including 19 British citizens, Anantnag Police said.
