Russian oil tanker, which took U-turn while heading to China, arrives in India

Russian tanker 'Aqua Titan', which was earlier headed towards China but took a U-turn midway, arrived in India. The tanker carrying 7.7 Lakh barrels of crude oil arrived in Mangalore on Sunday. This comes after India increased its Russian oil purchase following a 30-day waiver from US. However, India had clarified that it never depended on permission from any country.

Japan may send forces for minesweeping in Strait of Hormuz if ceasefire reached

Japan's Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi said the country could consider deploying its military for minesweeping in the Strait of Hormuz if a "complete" ceasefire is reached between the US, Israel, and Iran. "If a ceasefire....established and naval mines were creating an obstacle...that would be something to consider," he said. Japan receives around 90% of its oil shipments via the strait.

Air India tightens fitness rules for cabin crew, may cut salaries over weight gain

Air India is set to implement a 'Cabin Crew Health and Fitness Compliance Policy' starting May 1. The crew members falling outside 'normal' Body Mass Index range of 18-24.9 will be removed from active flying rosters and would rejoin only after clearing medical and functional assessments. Those categorised as 'obese' will face immediate derostering along with a loss of pay.
