Civil Aviation Ministry has imposed temporary fare ceilings across routes to curb surge pricing after mass flight cancellations by IndiGo. For flights up to 500km distance, airlines can charge a maximum fare of ₹7,500. For flights with distance between 500km and 1,000km, a maximum fare of ₹12,000 can be charged while for flights above 1,500km, maximum ₹18,000 can be charged.

Over 100 IndiGo flights cancelled at Hyderabad airport

More than 100 IndiGo flights, including 61 departures and 54 arrival flights, were cancelled on Sunday at Hyderabad's Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, officials said. IndiGo's disruptions led to passengers facing inconvenience, long queues and inadequate facilities, with some stranded at the airport for hours.
