Airlines avoid cancelling tickets weeks in advance unless they are shutting down or ordered to suspend operations. Currently, disruptions are limited to specific airports.

Govt orders IndiGo to clear refunds by Dec 7, deliver passengers' luggage to their homes

Civil Aviation Ministry has directed IndiGo to clear pending passenger refunds for all cancelled or disrupted flights by 8:00 PM on December 7 and warned of immediate regulatory action in case of delay or non-compliance. It also directed IndiGo to ensure that baggage that was separated from passengers is traced and delivered to their address within the next 48 hours.
