The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued cold wave and fog warnings for several states/Union Territories for Tuesday (December 2). Cold wave conditions are very likely over Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Maharashtra and Punjab. Meanwhile, fog is very likely over Himachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Odisha.

Govt releases list of all fugitive economic offenders, reveals scope of their frauds

Finance Ministry released list of all fugitive economic offenders who've been given the tag under Fugitive Economic Offenders Act, 2018. The table shows the offenders owe Indian banks over ₹58,000 crore, including principal and interest, of which ₹19,000 crore has been recovered. Notably, businessmen Nitin and Chetan Sandesara are the only offenders who've partially settled their fraud amounts.

Car falls from flyover in UP after driver falls asleep; 1 dies

A speeding car fell 50 feet from a flyover in Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad on Monday after the driver fell asleep, killing one person and leaving the other injured. The speeding vehicle broke through the railing of the Rajnagar flyover and plummeted into the premises of a PWD office below. The person who died in the accident was father of driver.

Amazon's data centres in US' Morrow County are contributing to causing rare cancers and miscarriages in locals, according to a Rolling Stones report. This is happening as nitrate-laden wastewater from the data centres' cooling operations is being released back into nearby farms, shooting nitrate concentrations in drinking water to 10x the permissible limit. Amazon called the report "inaccurate".

The government will sell up to 6% stake in Bank of Maharashtra through an offer for sale to help the lender meet the minimum public shareholding norms. Airbus discovered a new industrial quality issue affecting fuselage panels of several dozen A320 aircraft, delaying some deliveries, Reuters reported.
