US city of Sturgeon has agreed to pay β‚Ή2.5 crore in damages to a dog owner after a police officer fatally shot their deaf and blind pet in May 2024. The Shih Tzu had entered a neighbour's property. Police were called to help reunite the dog with its owner, however, tired of chasing the dog, an officer killed the canine.

London has been ranked as the world's best city for 2026 by Resonance Consultancy and Ipsos, which ranked 100 cities as per liveability, lovability and prosperity.
