Tata Group firm slapped with demand notice worth โ‚น2,411 crore

Tata Steel has received a demand letter worth nearly โ‚น2,411 crore from Deputy Mines Director of Odisha's Jajpur. The letter has been issued in connection with shortfall in dispatch of chrome ore from the company's Sukinda Chromite block between July 23, 2024 and July 22, 2025. Tata Steel had challenged a โ‚น1,902-crore demand letter issued in the previous year too.
