PIL to declare Pahalgam terror attack site 'Shaheed Hindu Tourist Place' rejected by HC

Punjab and Haryana High Court has rejected a PIL which sought 'martyr' status for the people killed in the Pahalgam terror attack and to declare the site where the incident occurred as 'Shaheed Hindu Tourist Place'. Advising the petitioner to approach the state government, the court said that it can't interfere in policy-making, which falls under the executive.

Serial killer 'Doctor Death', who fed victims' bodies to crocodiles, arrested from Rajasthan

Dubbed 'Doctor Death', Devender Sharma, a 67-year-old Ayurveda practitioner-turned-serial killer, has been arrested from an ashram in Rajasthan's Dausa by Delhi Police. He had jumped parole in 2023 while serving a life sentence. He was involved in at least 27 cases of murder, kidnapping and robbery and was arrested in 2004. He used to feed bodies of victims to crocodiles.

TMC leader involved, Hindus attacked: Murshidabad violence report

TMC councillor Mehboob Alam was involved in the violence that broke out in West Bengal's Murshidabad last month, the report by the probe committee constituted by Calcutta High Court said. A 100-year-old tea stall in West Bengal's Sampoore doesn't have any employees. "It runs solely on trust and love," The Better India reported. The stall's owner unlocks it every day and leaves for work. Locals, mostly retirees, take turns managing everything including collecting payments. Researchers at Beijing Institute of Technology and Sun Yat-sen University have developed a miniature device that converts the motion of a bee’s wings into electricity. The device weighs just 46 milligrams and allows bees to continue flying naturally while producing energy in mid-air. The researchers achieved energy output of 5.66 volts and power density of 1.27 milliwatts per cubic centimeter.

Indian woman who disappeared near village in LoC was in touch with Pak nationals
