India's 1st private orbital rocket Vikram-1 to launch on July 18

India's first privately developed orbital rocket, Skyroot Aerospace's Vikram-1, will make its maiden test flight from Sriharikota's Satish Dhawan Space Centre on July 18. The mission will evaluate propulsion, stage separation, guidance, navigation, control and overall vehicle performance. It will also carry four technology demonstration payloads from Indian and international companies.

NEET (UG) 2026 result declared

The National Testing Agency on Thursday declared result of NEET (UG) 2026. NTA said 11.21 lakh candidates have qualified for admission to undergraduate medical, dental, AYUSH and allied programmes. More than 58% of the qualified candidates are women, and majority of the top-performing candidates are between 17 and 19 years of age.

CRPF adds 10 new high-altitude bases in J&K

The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has increased the number of temporary operating bases (TOBs) in Jammu and Kashmir from 45 to 55 following the Pahalgam terror attack, reports said. The new high-altitude bases, located between 8,000 and 10,000 feet, aim to prevent terrorists from using remote mountain hideouts.
