Govt likely to mandate diesel-isobutanol blending after E20 petrol

The government is likely to mandate blending isobutanol with diesel by the end of this year, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) Secretary V Umashankar said. This comes after the nationwide rollout of ethanol-blended petrol or E20 petrol earlier this year. Blending diesel with isobutanol, a biofuel, could reduce India's crude oil imports and minimise its carbon footprint.

150 ISL footballers face uncertainty after their contracts expire

US students coming to India for studies drop by 65.6% in a decade: Report

India attracts only 0.52% of US students who study abroad, with just 1,578 of the 2,98,180 Americans studying overseas in 2023-24 choosing India, according to the Institute of International Education (IIE).
