A Chinese court has ruled the dismissal of an employee, Zhou, who was fired after his firm replaced part of his work with AI, as "unlawful". Initially, the company tried to assign Zhou to a lower role with 40% pay cut, reports stated. When Zhou refused, the firm reportedly fired him and offered a 311,695 yuan (₹43 lakh) severance package.

MP boat that capsized sailed despite storm alert, people were not given life-jackets

A tourist cruise boat that capsized in Bargi Dam reservoir in Madhya Pradesh's Jabalpur, claiming at least nine lives, had been allowed to sail despite a storm alert. US falls deeper into debt as it now owes more than it earns in a year

US national debt has now exceeded the size of its entire economy, according to the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget (CRFB). US national debt stands at $31.27 trillion as of March 31, while nominal GDP for the last 12 months stood at $31.22 trillion. Its gross national debt has surpassed $39 trillion, or $114,000 (₹1.08 crore) per American.

Maharashtra Board declares Class 12 results, 89.79% students pass

The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has announced the HSC (Class 12) result today, recording an overall pass percentage of 89.79%. Humans are still evolving and at faster pace than previously thought, a study found. Researchers analysed DNA from nearly 16,000 people spanning 10,000 years and identified hundreds of gene variants shaped by natural selection, including those linked to red hair, baldness and immunity.
