Crude oil hits 4-year high as US & Iran remain defiant to end war

Crude oil hit $120/barrel for the first time since June 2022 after rising over 6%. This comes as US signalled it wasn't ready to let up the naval blockade of Iranian ports and seizure of Iranian tankers. US' West Texas Intermediate also inched above $107/barrel. Multiple Gulf countries have also reduced oil production due to storage overflow and export difficulties.

US plans to use 'Dark Eagle' for the first time against Iran: Report

US Central Command has sought the first-ever deployment of the hypersonic missile 'Dark Eagle' in the Middle East for its potential use against Iran, Bloomberg reported. US returns over 650 stolen artefacts valued at nearly ₹133 crore to India

The US has returned 657 antiquities collectively valued at nearly $14 million (around ₹133 crore) to India, saying there is "more work to be done" to return stolen artefacts to the country. The pieces were recovered following several investigations into trafficking networks. The items returned include a $2-million bronze figure of 'Avalokiteshvara', which was stolen from India in 1982.
