What is the difference between 24K, 22K, 18K, 14K & 10K gold?

Gold purity is measured in karats (K), with 24K gold being 99.9% pure. Twenty-two karat gold contains 91.7% pure gold, 18K gold has 75%, 14K has 58.3%, and 10K contains 41.7% pure gold. The remaining portion in each type is mix of metals such as copper, silver or zinc. Notably, 24K gold is often used in gold coins and bars.

'Most powerful' missile that can reach US unveiled by North Korea

North Korea unveiled its new Hwasong-20 intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) during the military parade and called it the "most powerful nuclear strategic weapon". The missile, reports said, could reach the United States. Korean media said that the missile's engine is built with carbon fibre and it can produce 1,971 kilonewtons of thrust, more than earlier produced rocket engines.

7 killed after quake strikes Philippines, Tsunami warning issued

A 7.4-magnitude earthquake struck off southern Philippines' coast, near Manay town, killing at least six people. A 6.9-magnitude aftershock hours later caused additional damage and one more death. Both quakes, caused by movement along the Philippine Trench, triggered tsunami warnings and evacuations across the region, including parts of Indonesia and Palau. 81 drug samples fail tests, 65 pharmacies under lens in Rajasthan

At least 81 drug samples, including antibiotics, and paracetamols, have failed quality tests in Rajasthan till September, as per state Food Safety and Drug Control Commission. Officials said that out of 4,125 samples tested this fiscal year, 81 didn't meet quality standards. The findings follow death of at least 20 children who allegedly consumed 'Coldrif' cough syrup in Madhya Pradesh.
