World's most expensive mango costs ₹3 lakh per kg, is known as 'Egg of the Sun'

The world's costliest mango variety is originally grown in Japan's Miyazaki. These mangoes are known for their unique taste, creamy texture and bright red/purple colour. They are rare and cost around ₹3 lakh/kg. Known as 'Egg of the Sun', they are also grown in some parts of India. Notably, July 22 is celebrated as National Mango Day in India.

Google, OpenAI's AI models surpass gold-level score at Math Olympiad for 1st time

Google and OpenAI have announced that their AI models surpassed the gold-level score at the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) 2025. It is the first time they have achieved the milestone at a Mathematical Olympiad. The models solved five out of six problems using general-purpose reasoning models. At the IMO 2025 in Australia's Queensland, 67 of 630 students earned gold-medal scores.

Air India plane catches fire after landing at Delhi airport

An Air India plane caught fire shortly after it landed at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi. There was some damage to the aircraft, however, passengers and crew members disembarked normally and are safe, an Air India spokesperson said in a statement. Earlier, an Air India flight from Delhi to Kolkata aborted takeoff after a technical issue.

Gold hits 4-week high, jumps to over ₹1 lakh per 10 grams

Gold prices hit a four-week high in Delhi on Tuesday after rising by ₹1,000 to ₹1,00,020 per 10 grams, according to the All India Sarafa Association. The precious metal had last touched the ₹1 lakh mark on 19 June. Meanwhile, silver prices surged by ₹3,000 to reach ₹1,14,000 per kg.
