as christmas settled into the night, Luthien’s Kya and Clardforge’s Kya stayed in to decorate the tree together. the house slowly filled with warm lights as the night outside became calmer, making everything feel more intimate.

we decorated at an easy pace, hanging ornaments one by one, fixing the ones that tilted, and laughing softly at our small mistakes. sometimes we talked about random things, sometimes we didn’t talk at all and both felt just as nice. the tree changed little by little, reflecting the time we spent together.

when we finally stepped back, the lights glowed gently in the room. we stood there longer than we needed to, quietly taking it in. it wasn’t about how perfect the tree looked, but about sharing the moment, the warmth of the night, and the comfort of being together on christmas. 🎄♥️
