This is the new channel, because I got fed up with making announcements in a group.
READ THIS FIRST
Use English only! No Hindi! Do not use your userbot in the main group - only in @ftgspam

FTG dev from me is on hold. I'm working on a complete rewrite from scratch, in Kotlin. I will still accept contributions and maybe fix issues every now and then, but I feel like its mature enough for others to contribute most things. I'll also work on docker support for termux so it can be used in both new and old. @RealAkito might help with the rewrite, its not decided yet. I'll remain active here to play tech support. Hopefully @AvinashReddy3108 can fix some of the remaining issues.

Please be wary of loading unofficial modules - there are some modules which try to steal your phone number. Make sure you read the source of any module you're loading, so that you can be certain its safe. Especially, any module with lots of 0000 is likely to try to hack you. I've identified the bot used to take the data (@rghwerwsgbot) but its not possible to take it down.

TL;DR evil modules on the loose, be careful
Someone finally made a youtube video!

Just another reminder -- don't be stupid; don't load modules you don't trust. Today there is a module that will log you out (RedCross.py) but it doesn't appear to share your session, so it isn't actually damaging
โš  Potential security issue that does not affect ftg

There may be a security issue introduced by a recent telegram update. I am pleased to say that it certainly does not affect Friendly-Telegram due to existing mitigations.

If you are running a userbot that allows executing commands from a forwarded message (ftg does not), I suggest disabling it (at least temporarily) to be sure of the security of your account.

To userbot maintainers: please ignore all forwarded messages
โš  Minor security issue affecting FTG discovered

It's been patched, and was found thanks to @h3xcode. It requires user interaction, so it's not very dangerous

Update asap nonetheless
And a reminder that any plugin can do anything, so only load ones you trust

All the users of userbots, Pay Attention..

We want to inform you that nowadays a new trend is developed which is hacking with plugin๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚. It's funny but it's true anybody can hack your telegram account with the help of plugin, so no need to install any external plugin. If you want any plugin so tell to your userbot's dev or in support group, they will provide you as soon as possible. So be aware and protect your privacy.
Thank You.

This should be obvious, but if you go to any unofficial website and it asks for your phone and code, you should be very careful. Remember you're giving the site full access to your account.

Remember that giving away your StringSession also gives them full access. So keep it secure, and if it's leaked, terminate the session immediately.

If you're using "someone else's plugins", you should either trust the person or review the code, too.

(There's been another person reported doing suspicious things, so this is just a reminder to be careful and think twice.)
Yet another reminder, don't install any module you haven't read the source code of.
You can't mute channel admins, obviously. It's a scam.
The owner of this channel has been inactive for the last 1 month. If they remain inactive for the next 10 days, they may lose their account and admin rights in this channel. The channel will remain accessible for all users.
