In case you are wondering , there are changes made to the "Friends Activity" in Spotify and it now needs to be enabled manually from settings.

Tl;Dr - If you haven't ever touched the two settings: Listening Activity and Show Recently Played Artists on Profile, they were on by default for everyone. Now they are off for those users only.
