Together is the twisted blend of couples therapy and Cronenbergian romance I didn’t know I needed 😳. Written and directed by Michael Shanks in his feature debut, the film follows a couple who, after moving to the countryside, find themselves literally stuck together—physically and emotionally. Brie and Franco (‘The Rental’) bring an unsettling intimacy that’s as magnetic as it is disturbing, and the use of The Turtles’ ‘Happy Together’ over scenes of bodily fusion is a genius touch.

This isn’t Tetsuo or The Substance levels of gore, but the psychological horror hurts. Sometimes the scariest thing isn’t losing someone—it’s never being able to let them go 🪚🥃.
