As a cinephile, I have to say this trailer left me speechless. With a 1960s retro-futuristic aesthetic, Fantastic Four: First Steps introduces Reed Richards (Pedro Pascal), Sue Storm (Vanessa Kirby), Johnny Storm (Joseph Quinn), and Ben Grimm (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) in an emotionally charged family dynamic. The scenes in the Baxter Building set the tone, and we get a thrilling glimpse of Galactus (Ralph Ineson).

While the CGI for The Thing is sparking debate, I find this bold visual direction refreshing. Marvel has also dismissed AI concerns regarding the poster, reaffirming their creative commitment. Personally, I believe this version could finally deliver the Fantastic Four adaptation we’ve been waiting for. Can't wait!

However, setting the plot on a tropical island feels predictable, sidelining the 'world of dinosaurs' concept teased in previous installments. Moreover, the dialogue comes off as forced, giving the impression of a recycled formula. While the production promises impressive visual effects, innovation will be crucial to overcome the clichés. 🦖
