🔵. It was a great feeling to take pole for the Sprint here in Austin. The whole session was a real challenge with the gusty winds and the bumps making the car quite unpredictable. From the start, we knew it would be tricky to find the right rhythm, but the team and I kept working on fine-tuning the balance, and everything came together at just the right time. Going for the soft tyre in SQ3 was a bit of a gamble since we didn’t have much reference data, but I decided to trust my instincts. I pushed flat out on that final lap, and it was enough to take pole, which is always a satisfying feeling, especially on a track that demands so much precision.

The qualifying itself was intense from start to finish. I topped SQ1 and SQ2, but I knew the final run would decide everything. The conditions were constantly changing, so getting the tyres in the right window was key. I managed to put together a clean lap when it counted most, staying just ahead of both McLarens, who were very quick. The team did an excellent job keeping everything under control throughout the session. It’s a strong start to the weekend, and I’m looking forward to the Sprint tomorrow, hoping we can carry this momentum and turn it into a solid result.

🔵. Starting from pole at the Circuit of the Americas felt great, and once the lights went out I knew I had to make the launch count. I got away cleanly, settled into my rhythm quickly, and kept the pressure off myself while the others scrambled behind. Early in the race, there was a big first-corner crash that took out both McLaren title contenders, bringing out the safety car and tightening up the field. At the restart, I stayed calm, managed the pace, and focused on maintaining clean air while keeping the tyres in the right window. For all 19 laps, I just focused on consistency and balance, and when the chequered flag dropped, we crossed the line first. It was a strong performance and the kind of execution we’ve been working hard to perfect.

This weekend has really tested our teamwork, strategy, and adaptability. The car felt strong, the pit wall made all the right calls, and everything came together when it mattered most. I’m proud of what we achieved today, but the job isn’t finished yet. The main race tomorrow will be tougher, and we’ll look to build on this momentum, fine-tune the details, and go again. It feels good to grab the sprint win here in Austin, and now all focus turns to delivering another strong result on Sunday.

🔵. Qualifying in Austin was an intense session from start to finish. The track was tricky, with gusty winds and a surface that never really felt the same from one corner to the next. Still, I felt good in the car from Q1 onward, finding rhythm and confidence with every run. By Q3, I knew it was all about delivering one perfect lap, and I managed to do just that on my first flying attempt. It wasn’t flawless, but it was quick enough to secure pole position for the United States Grand Prix. The team gave me a great car, and we made the most of every opportunity when it mattered most.

Taking pole here at the Circuit of the Americas means a lot. It’s a circuit that demands precision and balance, and today we found the sweet spot. The car handled really well through the high-speed sections, and even though I couldn’t go for a final lap due to timing, our first run was strong enough to stay ahead of Lando and Charles. Now the focus shifts to the race, where strategy and tyre management will be crucial. Starting from the front is the best place to be, and I’m ready to fight for another victory tomorrow. 🔥💪
