🔵. It was a really tough race today in Singapore, and finishing P2 feels like the maximum we could have achieved. The track had just started to dry and starting from the dirty side didn’t help, so we decided to take a gamble on the soft tyres to try something different. Unfortunately, there wasn’t much grip at the start and that made it difficult to get into rhythm early on. From that point, it became a matter of survival more than anything else. We switched to the hard tyres earlier than planned, but I was still struggling quite a bit with both downshifting and upshifting. The rear of the car felt very twitchy and unpredictable, which made it hard to find a consistent balance throughout the race.

I had a moment at Turn 14 where the car ran wide because the downshifts kept pushing it forward, while at the same time I was dealing with oversteer. It made controlling the car tricky, and I had to make a lot of small balance adjustments to keep it steady. Despite those issues, we managed to hold off Lando and bring home second place. Even if we’d had more pace, overtaking here is nearly impossible unless something dramatic happens, so this result is probably the best we could’ve done. It wasn’t the easiest race by any means, but I’m proud of how we handled it and grateful to the team for keeping things under control despite the difficulties.
