🔵. Qualifying in Monza turned out to be a real fight, and I’m very happy to have taken pole position for the Italian Grand Prix. It wasn’t easy, with Lando just 0.077 seconds behind me, so I had to push everything on that final lap. Monza is such a tricky track with low downforce and heavy braking zones, which means there’s no room for mistakes. We made some small setup changes before quali that gave me more confidence, and in Q3 it all came together. Grabbing pole here feels fantastic, especially knowing how tough Sundays have been for us this season. Tomorrow will be a different story, but we’ll give it everything.

Looking back, quali had its ups and downs. In Q1, I slipped up in Lesmo and found myself down in 12th, but managed to bounce back with a strong lap to move through safely. Q2 went much better, I felt comfortable and stayed on top of the timesheets. By the time Q3 came, it was all about finding that perfect lap, and my 1:18.792 was just enough to seal it. That makes it the 45th pole of my career, and starting from the front at Monza is always something special. Now it’s all about turning this into the right result on race day. 🔥💪
