Looking ahead to tomorrow’s race, the Dutchman is cautious but optimistic

🔵. After a challenging Sprint race earlier in the day, I managed to turn things around by securing pole position for the Miami Grand Prix—my third of the season and 43rd in my career. The car improved with each run, and despite a slight moment into Turn 1 on my final lap, everything came together. It's a great feeling to be back at the front, especially after the earlier chaos.

Looking ahead, the race will present its own challenges, but starting from pole gives us the best chance to capitalize. We'll need to stay focused and adapt to whatever the race throws at us. Let's aim to convert this strong starting position into a solid result tomorrow.

🔵. Miami wasn’t the smoothest weekend—P4 isn’t where we want to be, but we fought with what we had. The start was alright, but once Oscar and Lando got past, the race started slipping away. The VSC gave them the perfect window to pit, and when I rejoined, George managed to get ahead too. From that point, I just couldn’t get close enough to fight back. Every time I pushed, the tyres overheated, and I had no grip to attack properly. The balance wasn’t right, and it made the whole race a bit of a struggle.

The moment with George was a key one—he got out just ahead, and with the way the car felt, I didn’t have enough to challenge him. We’re still battling some ongoing issues with the brakes and overall setup, which definitely cost us today. It’s frustrating when you know the pace is there but can’t unlock it. Still, we learn from these tough ones and focus on coming back stronger in the next race. That’s how we move forward—analyzing, improving, and pushing as a team.
