🔵. Securing pole position here in Jeddah was incredibly satisfying. The weekend didn’t start off ideally, as we struggled to find the right balance in the earlier sessions, especially with McLaren showing strong pace. But when it mattered most, everything came together. The car felt great under the lights, and I managed to push it to the limit around this fast, narrow street circuit. It was a really tight fight—Piastri was just a hundredth behind me—so I’m proud of the lap I pulled off and the work we’ve done as a team to get here.

That said, I know we still have a race to run, and it won’t be easy. Our long-run pace could use improvement, so it’s going to be a challenge to maintain position up front. But we’ve made solid progress, and I trust in what we’ve built heading into tomorrow. I’m fully focused on delivering a strong result and turning this pole into another win—not just for me, but for the whole team that worked so hard to get us here.

“Not Ideal, But We Keep Pushing” — Jeddah Recap

🔵. Yeah, obviously not the result we were looking for, but sometimes that’s how it goes. The start was tight with Oscar into Turn 1, I tried to avoid contact, had to go off track, and picked up a five-second penalty for it. That pretty much set the tone for the rest of the race. After serving it in the pits, I rejoined behind him and from there on, it was just about trying to manage tyres and pace. I gave it everything, but couldn’t really get back into the fight for the lead.

Finishing P2 isn’t what we aimed for, but considering the circumstances, it was a solid result. I want to thank the team for their efforts and the fans in Jeddah for their incredible support. This track has always been a favorite of mine, and I’m already looking forward to bouncing back in Miami. We’ll analyze everything, learn from it, and come back stronger.
