Badami Cave temples

▪️Badami (in Northern Karnataka) cave temples are an excellent example of Chalukyan Architecture, which dates back to the 6th century AD and adorns decorative pillars, embellished brackets, intricately carved sculptures and finely chiseled ceiling panels.
▪️It is a group of four rock-cut cave temples – 3 Brahminical and 1 Jaina. The Jaina cave temple was built around a century later from the earlier temples.
▪️The largest cave is Cave no. 3 which is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. It is also the oldest Badami cave.
▪️Most of temple building activity of Chalukyas was concentrated in Badami, Aihole, Pattadakal and Mahakuta in modern Karnataka.

What Is Winter Diesel?

▪️It is a specialised fuel that was introduced by IOCL last year specifically for high altitude regions and low-temperature regions such as Ladakh, where ordinary diesel can become unusable.

▪️The flow characteristics of regular diesel change at such low temperatures and using it may be detrimental to vehicles.

▪️It contains additives to maintain lower viscosity can be used in temperatures as low as -30°C and that besides a low pour point, it had higher cetane rating.

o provide international safeguards against misuse of nuclear technology and nuclear materials, and
o promote nuclear safety (including radiation protection) and nuclear security standards
and their implementation

Three main areas of work that underpin the IAEA's mission are:
o Safety and Security;
o Science and Technology; and
o Safeguards and Verification

The IAEA executes this mission with three main functions:

o the inspection of existing nuclear facilities to ensure their peaceful use,
o providing information and developing standards to ensure the safety and security of
nuclear facilities, and
o as a hub for the various fields of science involved in the peaceful applications of nuclear technology
