The Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960

●It is a violation to engage in animal fighting or shooting competitions in which animals are released from captivity to be shot.
●51A(g) of the Constitution of India. It mandates every citizen to protect forests, lakes, rivers, wild animals etc. Apart from that, Constitution also reminds us to show compassion towards birds and animals.

1. திருக்குறளில் இடம் பெறாத ஒரே எண் - ஒன்பது (9). தமிழுக்கு பெருமை சேர்த்த திருக்குறளில் ஒரு தடவை கூட "தமிழ் என்ற வார்த்தை உபயோகபடுத்தவில்லை.

2. திருக்குறளில் - "குன்றிமணி" என்ற ஒரே விதையை மட்டும் தான் பயன்படுத்தபட்டிருக்கிறது

3.திருக்குறளில் ஒரே முறை தான் "ளீ / ங" உபயோகபடுத்தபட்டிருக்கிறது.

4. திருக்குறளில் பயன்படுத்தாத ஒரே உயிர் எழுத்து "ஒள"

திருவள்ளூவர் திருக்குறளை தமிழ்சங்கத்தில் அரங்கேற்றம் செய்ய மிகவும் சிரமப்பட்ட காலத்தில் ஔவையாரின் உதவியுடன் மதுரையில் அரங்கேற்றியதாகவும் கூறபடுகிறது. இவர் இயற்றிய திருக்குறளில் அறம், பொருள், இன்பம் என்று முப்பால்களில் 1330 குறட்பாக்கள் வாழ்வின் இலக்கை விளக்குவதாக உள்ளது. 133 அதிகாjங்களில் 1330 குறள்களைப் பதிவு செய்து மனிதர்கள் தம் அகவாழ்வில் சுமூகமாக கூடி வாழவும், புற வாழ்விலும இன்பமுடனும், இசைவுடனும், நலமுடனும் வாழ தேவையான பண்புகளையும் விளக்குகிறது. தான் இயற்றிய குறள்களில் எந்த ஒரு இனம், மொழி, மதம், காலம், இடம், குறித்து எழுதாமல் சென்றதன் மூலமாக திருவள்ளூவர் எக்காலத்திற்கும் ஏற்ற பொதுமறை நாயகராக திகழ்கிறார். திருவள்ளூவர் புகழ் பாடுவதை விட, அவரது குறளில் கூறப்பட்டுள்ள கருத்துக்களைக் கடைபிடித்தால் வாழ்வில் ஏற்றமும், நாட்டில் ஒற்றுமையும், நன்மையும் விளையும் என்பது அசைக்க முடியாத உண்மை.. திருவள்ளுவரை போற்றுவோம், வாழ்வை செம்மையாக்குவோம்.
