●The Act makes it a crime to beat, kick, torture, mutilate, administer an injurious substance, or cruelly kill an animal.

●It is a violation to engage in animal fighting or shooting competitions in which animals are released from captivity to be shot.
●51A(g) of the Constitution of India. It mandates every citizen to protect forests, lakes, rivers, wild animals etc. Apart from that, Constitution also reminds us to show compassion towards birds and animals.

●It is one of India's national parks, is located in Kullu region in the state of Himachal Pradesh.
