We broke up because we both chose to focus on our academics. I was worried our relationship might get in the way of our future… so we decided to end it for the good of both of us. But we still remain close and often talk about many things happening in our lives now. Elian moved abroad and continue studying there while I stayed in this city.

I had a pretty toxic relationship with Yasa. We never had any big fights, but whenever there was a problem between us we would just keep it to ourselves. We never really knew what was actually going on between us. Even though communication is the key to a relationship, I just couldn’t open up to him. Eventually we both got tired of it, Yasa ended up breaking up with me. After that, we never saw each other again.
