It thickens with the slow heartbeat of our dominion, staining the moon and quieting the restless stars until the heavens themselves seem to kneel in reverence. Most will walk past blindness, their mortal senses dulled to the weight gathering beneath their steps. A marked few will feel it, a faint tremor in the blood.
