The house was buzzing with excitement as the family got ready for New Yearโs eve. Streamers, balloons, and half-done decorations were everywhere. Everyone had something to do: one person was hanging lights around the windows, another was struggling to tape up a banner that kept falling, and someone else was on balloon duty. But they seemed to pop more than they blew up. Midnight got closer, we headed outside to light sparklers and a bit of fireworks.
