Kya glanced at the place ahead and smiled. “Still counts.”
They stopped under streetlights for photos that didn’t turn out right, crossed streets just because the signal changed, and debated snacks like it was an important decision. By the time they finally headed back, the night felt light and familiar held together by small jokes, quiet teasing, and the comfort of walking without any real destination.
