📰 Dodo Pizza goes to court after Telegram ignores objections 13:21

Dodo Pizza, a Russian pizzeria chain, initially owned the @dodopizza username on Telegram since 2018. However, due to channel inactivity, they lost it. Following Fragment's launch, a prominent TON investor acquired the username through a public auction.

In early June, Dodo Pizza decided to reclaim the username. Communication breakdown ensued, leading Dodo Pizza to file a lawsuit against the username owner, and even named Telegram as a defendant, hinting at unfair competition.

The lawsuits were filed in Russia because the company is Russian and the branded channel is believed to be for Russian users.

📰 Telegram CEO Pavel Durov arrested at airport near Paris, French media reports

France's OFMIN, an agency tasked with preventing violence against minors, had issued an arrest warrant for Durov as the coordinating agency in a preliminary investigation into alleged offences including fraud, drug trafficking, cyberbullying, organized crime and promotion of terrorism, one of the sources close to the case told AFP.

Durov is suspected of failing to take action to curb the criminal use of his platform.
