Cool that you are teaching your kids about Linux, but I have a big problem with Linux's NEW users:
They spend hours and hours on customization instead of using it as a daily driver, you see thousands of videos on YouTube people showing their "FANCY" DE with "COOL" widgets.
Meanwhile, operating systems like MacOS provide a normally acceptable DE that can't be easily customized, so the user can focus on an actual usage of the computer instead of fucking around with customizations.
Reminds me of the restaurants with fixed menus that prevent hours and hours of confusion per day and kinda FORCE the customer to stick to their together-time instead.
Maybe, just maybe, this is why the Linux Mint is quite successful and popular.

چند ماه پیش برای گربه ام یک ویدیو لایو از یوتوب گذاشته بودم، از این ویدیو هایی که طبیعت رو نشون میده (پرنده، سنجاب و اینها)، گربه ام که جای خود، من هم محسور حرکت سنجاب ها شده بودم و شاید ۲۰-۳۰ دقیقه نگاه کردم، بعد از اون چند ده دقیقه کمی دقت کردم و دیدم کل ویدیو کمتر از ۵ دقیقه است و بعدش لوپ میشده :))

این رو گفتم به خاطر افتادن چندین و چند باره مای نوعی در لوپ باور کردن اشخاصی که به عنوان دلسوز بهمون خورونده شدن و بعد فهمیدیم گول خوردیم، و بعد دوباره افتادیم توی دام نفر بعدی.
